David Schlesinger founded Tripod Advisors / D.A. Schlesinger Limited to provide his global experience and specialized knowledge of journalism, media and emerging markets (particularly China) to companies.

Previously, he was the Chairman of Thomson Reuters China until August 2012, and was the Group’s senior representative in the region. He was responsible for building senior relationships, providing thought leadership and advising on strategy for operations across Thomson Reuters interests in financial markets, legal databases, scientific information and journalism.

He was appointed to this role after four years as Editor-in-Chief of Reuters News, running editorial operations and strategy and participating at the corporate level as a member of the executive committee. Before that, Schlesinger was the company’s Global Managing Editor for three years, running the day-to-day work of the 3,000 journalists in 190 locations.

He has experience developing strategies and running large operations in China, the Americas and Europe.
