Consultant on content development & newsroom organisation
Catalonia
Toni Piqué has been consulting at more than a hundred media brands from +70 companies in 25 countries across Europe and America. These projects range from small corporate
magazines to big media groups; from print to radio, TV and web platforms; from
reporting training camps to planning long-term editorial strategy; from visual
journalism to newsroom integration. All projects are mainly based on the content
operations –the Journalism– and focused on how to improve them from the newsroom
to the boardroom.

Previously, Toni was ten years at "La Vanguardia" (Barcelona), reporting, writing and
editing news and features. He was Editor-in-Chief at "Diari de Tarragona"
and Chief User Experience at "Ara" (Barcelona). He is one of the founders of the Catalan
Journalists Union. Doubled from 1997 to 2005 as assistant director of the Journalism
Department at Universidad de Navarra, where the consulting was based at the time — I
was also teaching the Projects Course there. Have done lots of conferencing,
summitting and workshopping, and published some professional and academic articles
in journals from Spain, Mexico and Colombia. Proud co-author of "The Global
Journalist" and editor of "The Last Copy of The New York Times," by Vittorio Sabadin
(in Spanish and English), and "Integrated Journalism" by Ramón Salaverría and Samuel
Negredo (ditto).

He writes a column on Media at Ara.cat and a teaching at the School of Journalism of
Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona).
