El Español
Deputy Editor and Co-founder
USA

I’ve been a foreign correspondent most of my career: in New York, Brussels and Milan for Spanish and Italian papers. After 15 years working for the Spanish newspaper El Mundo, I left last year and worked for Univision Noticias as a political reporter. Last April, at the ISOJ, I started the blog nohacefaltapapel along with Eduardo Suárez to cover media innovation. Now that’s the name of a company on the verge of launching a native digital media, El Español. In February we broke the record of crowdfunding for journalism raising more than 3 million dollars.

I graduated at Columbia Journalism School as a Fulbright scholar. In 2012, I published a book about new political leaders in the U.S. and I am writing another one on Senator Marco Rubio and the rise of Hispanic power.
